Shift Schedule:

  • Tues - Thurs 7am-3pm, Fri-Sat 6am-2pm

Compensation:

  • Hourly wages starting at $22.00+ per hour, dependent upon experience.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated adherence to safe work practices and proper use of PPE required in various areas of the plant
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, training rooms, and labs
  • Ability to keep tools, office, and other work areas clean and organized
  • Sweep, mop, scrub vacuum, and generally maintain floors, steps and other similar surfaces
  • Operate the Floor Scrubbers
  • Empty Waste Containers, pick up and dispose of interior/exterior trash, litter, recycling and other similar debris throughout the facility
  • Maintain external areas around the building including trash pickup, sidewalk upkeep, and snow removal and deicing on pedestrian walkways
  • Follows Chemical Control Program of the company and understands proper storage and labeling of chemicals, follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Go through OSHA and Lock Out/Tag Out training
  • Maintain and properly dispose of recycled materials in the plant
  • Proper and safe operation of trash compactor
  • Notify Maintenance Manager concerning the need for repairs
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
  • Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
  • Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
  • Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency
  • Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior custodial experience a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing work, setting priorities and sound decision making
  • Strong work and personal ethics
  • Good communication skills
  • Works well with people

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
  • Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
