CUSTODIAN
JOB SUMMARY
The custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans and dusts desks, tables, chairs, counters, etc.
- Mops, buffs, or vacuums portions of clinic floors.
- Responsible for cleaning kitchen area.
- Maintains clean restrooms and assures the availability of soap, towels, tissue, etc.
- Assumes stock control for supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for the appearance of the center grounds.
- Sanitizes all exam rooms, lab, x-ray, etc.
- Simple maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
- Adheres to the terms and conditions set forth in BSHC's corporate compliance program.
- Ensures confidential information in accordance with BSHC's policy and current HIPAA regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in janitorial work preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, operate cleaning equipment and keep a supply inventory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Requires physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, and/or unpleasant odors.
