Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and Sunday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
- Receive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories
- Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity
- Organize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance
- Ensure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work day
- Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals
- Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel room
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification- Required:
- 1-year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel
Knowledge and Certification- Preferred:
- Previous lead experience in a similar position
Skills- Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Abilities- Required:
- Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
