Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the production line for manufacturing home and garden products. This role demands expertise in performing adjustments, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure maximum run time on the production line. Responsibilities Maintenance on conveyers, motors, photo eyes, packaging equipment, cappers, fillers and other production equipment Perform setups and changeovers of production line machinery and equipment. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs on all breakdowns. Perform adjustments, preventive maintenance, and repairs to maximize run time. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Experience in general maintenance and setting up machinery and packaging lines. Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing packaging equipment. Experience in performing setups and adjustments on machinery. Ability to replace motors and gearboxes. Capability to perform quality checks on machinery and products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in high volume production lines is preferred. Food industry experience translates well but is not required. Basic electrical knowledge is preferred, such as unwiring/rewiring a motor. Work Environment This position is in a manufacturing environment, working alongside general production workers, machine operators, and forklifts. There are openings for day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The schedule consists of 4 days on, 4 days off. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
