Bartender

The Virginian by Cogir is looking for a Part-Time bartender to enhance the dining experience of our residents, families, and guests. PRINCIPLE DUTIES : Essential Job Duties: 1. Takes orders, provides service, and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answers pertinent questions about drink items. 2. Clear all tableware from tables and bar after service. 3. Cleans all glassware and dishes, including ashtrays, and distributes. 4. Stocks, restocks, and rotate supplies. 5. Prepares garnishes for bar use. Prepares snack trays. 6. Maintains all documents necessary to accurately account for resident and guest charges. 7. Assists supervisor with inventory of supplies. Other Duties : 1. Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. 2. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work area. 3. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code. 4. Completes all assigned cleaning tasks. 5. Inform supervisor of equipment and supply needs. 6. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. 7. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. 8. Maintains workstation and equipment in a safe and organized manner. QUALIFICATIONS : 1. Experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining experience preferred. 2. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness. 3. Must be at least 21 years of age. 4. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English effectively, using proper speech and grammar. Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English. 5. Proficient in MS Office and various software operations.
