Blu Ember is a New American restaurant opening in the Westin Hotel in Flushing. Set to open by the beginning of July, the 150-person venue will feature a raw sushi bar with fish freshly flown in from Japan, complimented by a menu curated by our chefs with tenures in multiple high end international restaurants and hotels. A craft cocktail bar/lounge, and a beautifully appointed PDR elevates the concept even further. Blu Ember will also be operating the 200-person banquet hall at the Westin Hotel.
About the role
The Sommelier will have the opportunity to work with an internationally curated wine list with brands such as Petrus, first growth Bordeauxs, DRC, Mugnier, Plenitude 2 and more. The program will allow the sommelier to select wines to add to and bolster the wine list. This position is perfect for those wanting to showcase their creativity and expertise, with guidance from our Wine Director whenever needed.
