Custodian I-Chs - FT. Bliss

Position Title: Custodian

Hourly Rate: $13.25 - $15 per hour

Location: Fort Bliss, Texas and New Mexico (Work to be performed across the entire area owned and occupied by Fort Bliss)

Job Summary: CLJ Consulting and Contracting LLC seeks dependable and hardworking Custodians to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties across facilities at Fort Bliss. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including windows, walls, and furniture.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting repairs.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass any required background checks.
• Must speak, read, and write in English
