Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to provide quality customer service and maintain cleanliness in a hospital setting. This role involves detailed cleaning tasks, ensuring a sanitary and welcoming environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one attention to detail in cleaning tasks.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and clean trash containers.
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make up beds and change linens as required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
• Respond to guest queries and requests.
• Respond to housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.

Work Environment

The candidate will work in a hospital environment, specifically handling discharge cleaning tasks. Each room takes approximately 40-45 minutes to clean thoroughly. The candidate may come into contact with doctors, nurses, hospital staff, patients, and visitors. The dress code includes blank pants (slacks or work pants), a blue polo shirt with no writing or logos, and all-black comfortable shoes. Scrubs, jeans, and sweatpants are not allowed. Candidates cannot have fake nails, and their nails must be shorter than a quarter-inch from the finger. Tattoos are acceptable as long as they are not offensive

The available shift is 11am-7:30pm. Candidates must be able to work rotating weekends.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
