Hello, CONG TU BOT is hiring.
We are a small, weird, and beautiful Vietnamese restaurant whose primary goal is to somehow make restaurant jobs more sustainable (emotionally, physically, and financially) for the majority of people that work in it (ie not just the owners and head chefs). We're also one of the only unionized, James Beard Award nominated (4 times =S) restaurants in the country! Strange but true!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A FOH person to work 2-4 shifts. Looking to fill shifts from Fri through Mon, including Sat and Sun morning shifts. Must be available at least one weekend night (Fri and/or Sat). Night shifts generally run from 3:30pm to 10/11pm, morning shifts are 9:30am-3pm.
We are looking to staff up for the extra busy season and are hoping to have someone start in mid-June. Ideally you have some experience but we are able to train anyone if you like to learn and/or have some other relevant food service knowledge. Please note that all our FOH staff are required to serve AND rotate into morning dish shifts 1-2 times a week depending on experience and training. Weekday night shifts are seasonal and would be expected to end by mid-September, with some flexibility depending on other circumstances.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Position starts at $16-17/hour DOE and qualifies for a full share of tips. Tips add an additional $8-15 per hour.
- FOH staff are paid bi-weekly on Fridays.
- After 30 days employment, each employee gets 10 hours of paid sick leave. Hours are then accrued at a rate of 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked. A more detailed review of the policy is included in the new hire packet.
- Annual shoe reimbursements.
- "Consent-based scheduling", which means we never schedule you for anything you havent explicitly agreed to :)
- All hourly staff are unionized.
