We are hiring a Front of House Team Lead to join our team in Downtown Portland.

Key Details:
Pay: $19/hour + $5-6/hr average tips
Benefits: Medical, vision + dental insurance (employees working 40+ hours), PTO, work shoe & attire reimbursement, a staff discount and more!
Schedule (typical days & hours of work, subject to change):
Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday
Morning and evening shifts required. Opening shifts start as early as 7:30am, closing shifts end as late as 7pm Sun-Thurs & 9pm Fri-Sat.
Responsibilities: As a manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily front of house operations at our retail bakery. You will take the lead in setting the standards for cleanliness, hospitality, and ambiance while enhancing the customer experience by:
Managing a team of 4+ FOH Counter Staff / Barista employees.
Coaching, training, educating, leading and inspiring the team to work with effectiveness and efficiency.
Handling call outs/time off to ensure the cafe has appropriate levels of coverage, and willingness to pickup and work shifts for all call outs.
Onboarding, training and supervising staff. Ongoing performance management.
Monitoring and managing to the quality of the service and products.
Maintaining and managing workflows, all operational checklists, standard operating procedures, andpany policies.
Managing staff punctuality and breaks.
Remaining aware and responsive of guest feedback.
Ensuring the restaurantplies with local health and safety codes and Oregon employment law.
Performing all FOH/Barista duties as part of the team (taking orders, answering customer questions and engaging positively and friendly with them, preparing orders, opening & closing the bakery, stocking and cleaning usingpany checklists, etc).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: We are looking for a strong leader who can inspire, engage, direct and lead the FOH team, and be the example of the high quality customer service that we provide. This role requires a sense of operational efficiency, a passion for the products we serve, people we help, and pride in what we do. Other requirements include:
Previous experience and/or ability to lead a team of 4+ employees.
Ability to inspire, engage, direct and lead teams.
Strong professional judgement and discretion.
Stronganizational and task management skills.
Current Oregon Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain one).
Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without amodation.
Ability to problem solve and fulfill the role to lead the FOH team independently.
Ability to perform all job duties listed above with reliable attendance.
