JOB SUMMARY Hampton Inn Tropicana (a busy 325 rooms hotel) is looking for a part time bartender for Monday & Tuesday (5pm - 12pm) The bartender will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner and act as cashier for the lounge for the days of the weeks: Mondays & Tuesday 5pm -Midnight ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Current Food Handler Card & Alcohol Awareness Training Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift and/or transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Continuous standing, bending, scooping, and walking are required.
