The restaurant supervisor is responsible for ensuring thatguests are served to the hotel\'s standard and displaying higheststandards of hospitality and welcome, demonstrated at all times withinall food and beverage areas. This position reports to the RestaurantManager, retains relationships with peers and all other departmentswithin the hotel/restaurant, maintains relationships with current andprospective guests. As Supervisor on our team, you will complete avariety of tasks which will include: Oversee the dining area, supervisesfood and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies.Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members. Assists withcoaching team on how to exceed guest expectations. Understands buildingcapability through cross training. Treats all Team Members fairly andwith respect. Sets high standards for appropriate team behavior onshift. Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper foodpresentation and proper food-handling procedures. Total receipts andbalance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end ofday. Is capable of handling upset customers with a friendly/calmattitude. Ensures product quality and great service. Shows enthusiasmabout guests within the restaurant. Effectively forecasts restaurantneeds. Shifts priorities and goals as work demands change. Delegates andfollows-up effectively. Taking ownership of issues or tasks and alsogive detail update to the Restaurant Manager and the Director of Food &Beverage. Seeks, listens and responds to guest feedback. Assists witheffectively identifying and resolving restaurant problems throughreports. Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory,track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) software, inventory software,restaurant guest satisfactory tracking software etc. Assists in planningregular and special event menus. The position is ideal for someone withthe following experience and qualities: Previous experience in similarrole. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends andholidays. Knowledgeable in preparing drinks. Excellent customer serviceskills. Dependability and regular attendance. Must be willing to learnwork in other areas of the hotel to assist as needed.
