Coava Coffee Roasters sources the best green coffee around the world through long term relationships with farmers. Based in Portland, Coava has earned a national and international reputation as a premier coffee roastingpany through a relentlessmitment to quality.

We're looking for a barista who thrives on working in a fun, educational, and fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about sharing your love of specialty coffee by creating amazing experiences for others, we want to meet you. This opening is for our Grand store in SE Portland.

Core responsibilities include:

Dialing in & tasting coffee regularly

Hospitality & engaging with customers

Supporting menu & brewing related questions

Drink preparation

Cleaning/maintaining brewing equipment

Using Square POS system

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent working knowledge of Food Safety practices and guidelines

Must be able tomunicate effectively with the manager and team while also executing responsibilities on one s own initiative

Must genuinely love hospitality, customer service, and all aspects of specialty coffee and service.

Must continually demonstrate excellence in drink preparation and contribute to a positive and fun working environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Continually required to stand, bend, and sometimes lift.

Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
