Join our team at a busy neighborhood shop filled with books + breakfast tacos

We're looking for a few great people to join our team! Part-time and full-time positions available, for summer or beyond.

The Stacks Coffeehouse is a neighborhood coffee shop serving coffee, tea and homemade breakfast tacos in North Portland. We're also amunity library, and we host a variety of writing events and classes.

1-2 years of barista experience is preferred, and candidates must have weekend availability. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, great attention to detail, and isfortable taking on many roles in a busy shop. In addition to working on bar and register, all employees are cross-trained in our busy kitchen, and may be asked to work kitchen/prep shifts in addition to providing support during barista shifts. Tips are pooled, and range from $10-14/hour in addition to hourly pay.

In addition to our regular barista shifts, we also host events and readings, including a regular Tuesday writing meet-up. We are always looking for more team members with an interest in our reading and events program. T will be opportunities in the future to work events, and to be a back-up host on Tuesdays.
