What is the opportunity?

As the Receptionist/Admin. Assistant for RBC Global Asset Management, you will be the initial point of contact for our Downtown Vancouver Office. You will be responsible for greeting and receiving clients, guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner. As a valued member of the Office Administration team, you will also assist with administrative duties as required. For more information on RBC GAM, please visit:

What will you do?

  • Answer and direct all incoming calls on a multi-line switchboard

  • Coordinate and manage bookings for meeting rooms; arrange catering as required

  • Assist the Business Operations and Finance team with coding invoice and Accounts Payable payment investigations

  • Assist with maintenance of staff kitchens and meeting rooms; including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and liaising with the office maintenance teams as needed

  • Office administration requirements include; maintaining various employee lists, ordering business cards, Health & Safety committee support, other administrative task as assigned.

  • Entering and reconciling Expense Reports in Concur for GAM Managers

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for emails and meetings

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong multi-tasking skills

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a professional office environment

  • 1-3 years experience in the financial industry

The expected base salary range for the above position is $40,000 -$55,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position will be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
