Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Overview The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled, non-exemptposition that reports to the Facility Management Team. The IndustrialMaintenance Mechanic position is responsible for ensuring the operationof machinery, mechanical equipment and building maintenance andfunctionality for all Charm Sciences facilities. The pay range for thisposition is \$27.50 to \$41.00 per hour. Compensation will be determinedbased on education, experience, and other factors in accordance withapplicable laws. Essential Functions Ensures the operation of productionequipment and machinery as well as temperature and humidity-controlledequipment by following operations manuals and manufacturer\'sinstructions Facilitate operation, maintenance and repair ofpurified/RODI water systems Locates sources of problems by observingmechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precisionmeasuring and testing instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devicesand control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, andstraightedges. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using handand power tools; examining form and determine cause and effect. FollowLO/TO procedures as needed. Controls downtime by informing Charmemployees of routine preventive maintenance techniques and repairs inprocess and expected time of completion Able to navigate and managepreventative work order system Maintains a working cell phone in orderto ensure consistent communication during regular working hours, unlessa device is provided by the company. Snow removal and/or propertymaintenance may be required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience in thefield or trade school/vocational training Mechanical, electrical andplumbing troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills Lives within 30 miles of Charm Sciences due torotational on call assignments Must posse a valid drivers license due toon call assignments and travel between facilities. Preferred: Knowledgeof OSHA Safety Rules Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures Skilledwith Microsoft Office and Outlook Excellent attention to detail andmullet-tasking skills Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to50 pounds. Be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items withadditional manpower or appropriate devices Able to traverse about thefacility, carry and climb ladders, work from heights, crawl underequipment and have dexterity to work with trade tools Able to functionin extreme hot and cold weather and non-weather conditions, such asfreezers and/or outside work related issues Able to sit or stand for anextended length of time at a bench or computer We are an equalemployment opportunity employer.
