Under the direction of the Retail Manager this skilled individual assumes daily responsibility for operating cash register, counting daily receipts, counting all cash revenue and charge receipts received and balance them against the record of sales, daily balancing of safe and change orders, daily cash reports. Keeps all money secured. Is backup for the Gempay Software including adding new physicians and volunteers and trouble shooting customer accounts. Runs daily reports from Gempay, Credit Card and Daily Revenue. Stocks Cafe supplies as needed. Refills food items and serves as relief for Cafe employees at designated times and/or as needed. Ensures that customers are served properly and in a timely manner. Investigates and resolves customers' complaints about food quality or service. Ensures quality is maintained and safety and sanitation guidelines are observed. Job duties may also include cross training in other areas of the department. Other duties may be assigned by the Retail Manager. Substitutes in part for the Retail Manager. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED required. Requires minimum of 3-5 years previous related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate and skilled in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Willing to learn other software as needed. Knowledge of HACCP guidelines a plus. Able to see potential opportunities to increase sales or reduce cost. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Able to tactfully and courteously communicate well with all contacts. Must exhibit strong customer service skills. Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and able to work through emergencies.
