Job DetailsJF Restaurants is seeking experienced and passionate Line Cooks to join our esteemed culinary team at The Times Square Edition. This is a unique opportunity to grow within an award-winning restaurant group, working alongside industry-leading professionals in a high-volume, fine dining setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute all food items and mise-en-place with precision and consistency.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with Management regarding product quality and inventory levels.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and purpose in all tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all the products and prepared items are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO (first in, first out)
- Perform station break-downs and deep cleaning duties with pride and professionalism.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of kitchen experience on the line
- Must have meat temperature experience
- Must have Open availability
- Strong knowledge of food handling, culinary skills and cooking techniques
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards of the restaurant
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
