We are looking for a professional and self-motivated Line Cook for Thyme Bar, an underground speakeasy bar located in Flatiron District, NYC. The Line Cook will follow brand's specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers satisfaction.

Must be flexible and able to work in late hours. IMMEDIATE HIRING

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
• Clean up station
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industrys best practices
• Culinary school diploma is a plus

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $25.00)
