Food and Nutrition Services Technician Job Description We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our team in a hospital kitchen environment. The facility serves over 700 guests a day, ideal candidates should possess experience in fast-paced restaurant or facility settings. Responsibilities Cook: Prepare large batch meals, familiar with made-to-order meals, read recipes/tickets. Schedule: 10am-8:30pm, 4 days/week. Host/Hostess: Deliver trays to patient rooms, take room service orders, clean cafe, and assist wherever needed. May also perform cashier duties. Schedule: 12pm-8:30pm, Friday to Monday. Utility Worker (Dishwasher): Wash large pots/pans, take out trash, clean kitchen area. Requires ability to lift up to 75lbs and comfortable working alone. Essential Skills 1.5+ years of food industry experience Excellent customer service skills Ability to work with difficult people and awareness of patient situations Capability to lift 50lbs and push 100lbs Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in food prep, hospitality, restaurant, cooking, and as a chef or dishwasher. Work Environment The environment is primarily within the cafeteria, where appearance and general hygiene are crucial. The hospital culture requires no facial piercings, tattoos must be covered, and heavy fragrances are not allowed. Attire includes black work pants, non-slip shoes, hospital t-shirts, and a black or white collared shirt on the first day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.10 - $15.10/hr.
