Job Details Overview: As a Server at Comodo Bistro Latino, you will provide exceptional service to our guests in a warm and inviting restaurant setting. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience. Your goal is to provide an exceptional dining experience while reflecting the vibrant culture of Latin cuisine.Key Responsibilities
Guest Service:
Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
Answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and assist guests with making food and drink selections.
Ensure that guests needs are met throughout their dining experience, including refilling drinks and checking in regularly.
Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and care, escalating to management when necessary.
Order Taking and Delivery:
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly, ensuring clear communication.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy of orders.
Menu Knowledge:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the restaurants menu, including special items and daily offerings.
Be able to describe dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods in detail, especially regarding Latin dishes and beverages.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Assist in setting up and clearing tables, as well as maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Keep your work area clean and organized at all times, including the dining area, service stations, and kitchen.
Ensure that utensils, glassware, and dinnerware are clean, polished and ready for use.
Upselling:
Promote specials, wine pairings, and signature cocktails to increase sales.
Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the guest's dining experience.
Requirements:
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years experience as a bartender is required.
Knowledge of classic cocktail recipes
POS system experience is required
Mixology training or certification
Knowledge of local craft beers, wines, or cocktails
Experience with inventory and bar restocking
Knowledge or interest in Latin cuisine, and/or natural wine and agaves is a plus.
Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications:
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred to effectively communicate with both guests and kitchen staff.
Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $600
