Harrison County Hospital has an opening for a Receptionist for After Hours Care.
Position available: Part-time, 16 hrs/wk, Day/Evening, M-F, 12p-8p, Sat/Sun 9a-5p.
Under the supervision of the After Hours Care Manager, this position performs as the receptionist and office clerk of After Hours Care. Serves as the focal communication source through interaction with the patients and staff members. Promotes teamwork and maintains office flow. Responsibilities include all aspects of clerical duties and the delivery of patient care, as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Knowledge of patient registration and health insurance preferred, but not required.
SKILLS:
Must be able to communicate effectively with department manager, radiologist, physicians, their staff, patients, and their families.
Must have basic knowledge of computer and related functions.
Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities.
Must be able to handle conflict in a professional manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
