The BaitBox restaurant is located on the Cohansey River in Greenwich (Cumberland County) and has been here since 1952 (was rebuilt in 1992). The restaurant is 3 miles from the Delaware Bay and sitting on Hancock Harbor Marina. We are looking for a line cook that is willing to learn and able to work collaboratively with the head Chef. This person should be extremely reliable and committed to quality and efficient kitchen delivery of food that makes the customers want to come back. Meals will consist of lunch and dinner.

Experience

You will be serving lunch and dinner menu items under direction of head Chef.

Must be able to read and understand orders placed in English

Must be able to grasp instructions and process quickly to deliver dishes timely.

Ability to follow the restaurants standards and food handling procedures.

Key personal characteristics

Dependable and Reliable - Arriving on time and committed to quality food delivery. Creating food experience that makes the customers want to come back.

Self-Starter - Ability to take the lead, make decisions and work independently and organized without direction (after trained).

Team Player - Ability to listen, communicate, help and work with others.

Trustworthy - Character, integrity and honesty are very important.

Calm Under Pressure - Must be able to keep your cool when dealing with highly stressful situations.

Primary responsibilities

Preparing and cooking lunch and dinner items specified by the Chef.

Maintaining a clean, sanitary and orderly working environment

Other duties as assigned by the Chef

This is a key seasonal position from the last week of May through September

You must be able to work all shifts regardless of holiday.

Shifts required will be mostly weekends
