About us!

Yanaga Kappo-Izakaya is a Japanese Chef driven restaurant by the "Sushi Whisper" Kevin Yanaga. Located in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia.

YKI is a full service dining and bar area serving takes of Japanese comfort food. Taking over the previous restaurant space "The Abbaye" - we showcase our style while leaning towards the concept of a Japanese dive bar.

We are looking to expand our small team of like minded individuals. Being Chef driven, we believe and strive for a positive work environment and a real work/life balance. Our passion for the cuisine, guest experience, and overall hospitality are the driving factors for what we believe will make this restaurant stand out. Highlighting on Local Beer, Craft Cocktails, Sake & Shochu for a complimentary pairing with our Food Menu.
