Maintenance - Custodian

Role Purpose: Provide cleaning and maintenance in and around the facility.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Maintain neat and sanitary conditions in restrooms and ensure soap and paper products are always available.
• Gather, empty, and discard trash.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the facility.
• Monitor janitorial supplies and requisition new supplies as necessary.
• Keep supply closets neat and organized.
• Safely use manual and electric cleaning tools in adherence with the company’s safety policies
• Shovel/remove snow and apply salt as needed on exterior walkways.
• Report items that need repair
• Assist with maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two -five years in janitorial or custodial role preferred.
• A good knowledge of cleaning products and cleaning tools required.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems as it applies to cleaning preferred.
• Drywall repair and painting preferred.
• Ability to perform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry a plus
