Groundskeeper

We are looking for a groundskeeper to join our Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities include assisting in the maintenance for all outdoor facilities, including: mowing, seeding and fertilization; care of shrubbery and trees; maintenance and marking of athletic fields; repair and painting of fencing, athletic field equipment and bleachers; exterior building minor repair and painting; snow plowing and shoveling; and preventive maintenance of maintenance vehicles. This work is performed under the direction of the Director of Facilities. A secondary responsibility, during inclement weather and during winter months, will be general cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. This position may have varying hours, depending upon the events that are scheduled during weekends.

We are looking for hard working and conscientious candidates. Minimum qualifications for applications are:

1. Graduation from high school or possession of an appropriate equivalency diploma recognized by the NYS Department of Education and six (6) months of experience in grounds maintenance or building cleaning.
   OR:
2. Any equivalent combination of training and experience indicating ability to perform the duties of the job.

Starting Salary: $16.23/hour commensurate with expereince + Full Benefit Package
