Job Purpose:

This is an intense, demanding role requiring an individual with exceptional stamina and unwavering dedication. A Restaurant Manager will be a part of a culture of excellence, with a relentless focus on achieving the highest standards in every facet of the restaurant's operation. They will build a team of highly capable service professionals and managers that can cultivate a strong presence and rapport with an upscale clientele.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader with a proven ability manage high-grossing, upscale dining establishments. This individual will be responsible for overseeing aspects of the restaurant, including curating an exceptional guest experience, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving top-tier financial performance .

The Restaurant Manager will be fully immersed in the daily operations of this high-profile establishment and must have:

  • A commitment to being present and engaged on the floor through the end of prime service hours, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.
  • The ability to lead by example and inspire a team to consistently exceed expectations.
  • The ability to work 5-6 days per week consistently while maintaining poise and freshness during an intense ramp up phase.

This is not a 9-to-5 position; it requires an individual with a deep passion for the hospitality industry and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, including managing staff, overseeing service, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Learn and Implement the The Fifty/50 Group's standards and procedures. We are only interested in management that has the ability and desire to learn our systems, especially as they relate to our purchasing and back-of-house operating procedures.
  • Manage and develop a team of hospitality professionals.
  • Oversee the restaurant's financial performance, including monitoring expenses, maximizing revenue, and achieving profitability targets. Operators without strong knowledge of restaurant finances should not apply.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws in the city of Chicago.
  • Oversee the management of the private members' club, Alston House, ensuring an exclusive and exceptional experience for members.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the ownership group, providing regular updates and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-end, fine dining establishment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including financial management, staff management, and guest service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve business objectives and drive profitability.
  • Experience in managing private members' clubs is a plus.
