This is a Permanent Intermittent position. Intermittent positions may work a maximum of 1500 hours per calendar year. The number of hours and schedule of work shall be determined based upon the operational needs.

This position is a Permanent Intermittent position (Part-time). The employee and family will become eligible for health, dental and vision benefits after working 480 hours in a control period and will maintain eligibility by working 480 each control period after. Control periods are January 1- June 30 th and July 1 December 31 st . Access this link CalPERS Eligibility and Enrollment for additional information. Upon hire, you will begin earning pro-rated paid time off based on the number of hours worked each month.The Health Facility Maintenance program provides individuals training of necessary knowledge and skills needed to meet the highest possible standards of cleaning for healthcare settings and brings healthcare areas of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to an acceptable level of sanitary conditions. Working ConditionsPersons appointed to positions in this class must be reasonably able to maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental, and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well-being or that of their fellow employees or that of incarcerated individuals. Assignments during tour of duty may include sole responsibility for the supervision of incarcerated individuals and/or the protection of personal and real property. Persons appointed to the position in this class may be required to wear a personal alarm and carry a whistle while on the worksite.
