Building Maintenance Technician

Now Hiring: Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (Overtime, weekend work, and travel may be required)
Compensation: Hourly, $20/hr.

LK Jordan & Associates is seeking a skilled and dependable Building Maintenance Technician for a reputable client in the Houston area. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in general building maintenance and committed to quality workmanship and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, electrical, sheetrock, and plumbing work
  
• 
  Construct, repair, and maintain walls, floors, doors, and other interior structures
  
• 
  Set up furniture and equipment for events or as needed
  
• 
  Clean buildings and grounds to maintain a safe, functional workspace
  
• 
  Respond to on-site emergencies and resolve safety issues during and after hours
  
• 
  Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
  
• 
  Disassemble and repair broken or defective equipment, then reassemble when repairs are complete
  
• 
  Use hand and power tools to build and maintain structures
  
• 
  Support other duties as assigned by management
  

Requirements:

• 
  Must reside within 60 miles of Houston, TX
  
• 
  Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (MVR required)
  
• 
  Willingness to travel with overnight stays as needed
  
• 
  Proficient in using basic power tools
  
• 
  Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  
• 
  Able to lift 50100 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  
• 
  Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and on ladders/stairs
  
• 
  Experience operating Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Man Lifts, and Lulls
  
• 
  Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  
• 
  Strong communication and customer service skills
  
• 
  Positive attitude and attention to detail
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Previous facility maintenance experience highly preferred
