SCOPE OF POSITION:
The driver supports the general operation of The Salvation Army in Yamhill County and is responsible for all in-kind donation pickups.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Education Required: High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Work Experience Required: None.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Food Handler’s Card (obtain within first 30 days of employment).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge Required: Read, write and speak the English language to express ideas and communicate effectively.

Skill Required: Operate a motor vehicle.

Ability Required: Interact with individuals using generally accepted business behaviors and standards. Use interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others in favorable and unfavorable situations. Flexibility, i.e., change work focus or respond to change of conditions and interruptions in work flow. Follow instructions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Retrieve pallets, food, or other in-kind donations from food bank, grocery stores, and other locations.
• Unload truck and help stock shelves in food pantry.
• Pick up mail at US Post Office when necessary.
• Keep SA vehicles clean: inside and out.
• Notify supervisor when vehicles need servicing.
• Remove trash from the Pantry and Kitchen.
• Sweep and mop the Pantry, Kitchen, and Dining Room.
• Vacuum the Chapel.
• Clean the Restrooms.
