Overview:
A Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages to guests while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. This role involves mixing drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring responsible alcohol service, all while delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assess guests' needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Prepare, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Open and close the bar
• Observe and follow all applicable laws regarding the sales and service of alcohol
• Speak eloquently about the hotel, restaurant and menu
• Prioritize guests’ needs above service team member convenience
• Gain insights to guests’ dining preferences through verbal and nonverbal cues
• Maintain the ambiance and service standards of the hotel at all times, while on property
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Follow all standard operating procedures as it pertains to cash handling
Skills/Knowledge Required:
• Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
• Alcohol Server Certification Number from RBS Portal required
• Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Collaborate with Colleagues cross-departmentally
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team
