POSITION SUMMARY: The Dishwasher/Porter ensures that the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and organizing the dishwashing area. The Dishwasher/Porter plays a crucial part in keeping the kitchen stocked, clean, and safe, allowing our culinary team to focus on preparing exceptional dishes for our guests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and sinks.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including food and non-food items, in the appropriate storage areas.
Ensure all dishes and equipment are properly sanitized and stored after washing.
Take out trash and recycling in accordance with restaurant guidelines.
Help maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors.
Work closely with kitchen staff and wait staff to ensure a constant flow of clean dishes and utensils.
Perform general cleaning duties, including cleaning kitchen equipment and storage areas.
Assist with other tasks as needed, including stocking supplies and maintaining kitchen organization.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
No prior experience required, though experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 16 years old
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and sometimes crowded kitchen environment
