We are looking for a Sommelier to join our team!

The Sommelier is responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests through genuine hospitality.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant wine program, inclusive of ordering, receiving, inventory, organization and cost management
  • Develop and execute wine and beverage training programs for all employees to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service
  • Support the management team with ensuring a state-of-the-art service delivery
  • Assist with daily operational duties, inclusive of reporting and opening/closing procedures
  • Coordinate restaurant front of house actions, being responsible for a smooth and effective collaboration across staff and exceeding guests expectations
  • Lead by example to promote a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity and superior performance standards
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to service team members to ensure ongoing development, engagement and motivation
  • Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Greet and welcome guests in a professional manner and positive attitude
  • Manage eventual clients complaints exceeding their expectations
  • Oversee and proactively deal with guest requests and complaints
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

What you bring

The Sommelier must have a very thorough knowledge of wine and product including but not limited to: production methods, history, origin, etc. The Sommelier must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

  • 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry in a sommelier role.
  • Previous experience in fine dining preferred
  • Proven knowledge of food and beverage pairings
  • Solid understanding of pricing, budgets and cost management
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Spanish as a second language preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional grooming and appearance
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, people-management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $70,000.00) plus tips
