CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on-call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment After Retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able have retirees as active substitutes. Substitutes applications will be reviewed in the order they are received and processed as needed.
