Custodian

### **Job Summary:**The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the trucking terminal, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, driver lounges, and other common areas. This position supports daily operations by ensuring facilities meet hygiene and safety standards.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Key Duties and Responsibilities:**- Clean and sanitize offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas on a daily basis.- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors as needed.- Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal throughout the facility.- Clean windows, walls, and surfaces regularly.- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning products.- Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas including driver check-in stations and loading docks.- Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs, replacing air filters, or reporting larger maintenance issues to supervisors.- Ensure exterior grounds are free of litter and debris.- Adhere to safety and sanitation policies at all times.- Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management when supplies or repairs are needed.- Follow a cleaning schedule while being flexible to accommodate operational needs.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Requirements:**- Must have a **clean-shaven face** (to meet safety or PPE requirements, if applicable).- **Background check** required.- **Drug screening** required prior to employment.- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and using cleaning equipment for extended periods.- Reliability and attention to detail are essential.
