Facilities Janitor Job Description As a Facilities Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring our office environment is maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining common areas, ensuring grounds are clean and well-maintained, and keeping consumables stocked. You will also audit janitorial services, maintain breakroom equipment, support special events, and assist with departmental moves. Responsibilities Prep and maintain office common areas for daily use. Ensure grounds are trash-free and properly maintained. Stock consumables daily. Audit janitorial functions and collaborate to maintain standards. Maintain breakroom equipment such as soda, water, and coffee machines. Ensure automated dispensers are stocked and operational. Support special events and assignments as directed. Assist with departmental and employee moves. Notify management of any potential hazards indoors or outdoors. Transport goods and equipment between sites. Work on short notice and in emergency situations. Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED. Two or more years of facilities experience. General mechanical aptitude. Excellent customer service skills. Positive and cohesive attitude. Commitment to seeing tasks through to completion. Knowledge in plumbing and HVAC systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to learn. Self-starter mentality. Passion for your work. Work Environment The work shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. You will work in a dynamic environment where your ability to respond quickly and manage multiple tasks is essential. Dress code is casual but presentable, and you will be using standard facilities maintenance equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
