Facility Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Precision Science, Inc (based in Phoenix, Arizona) is seeking a highly driven individual to join our growing company in the

capacity of Facility Maintenance Technician. Individual should have hands-on experience in general building

maintenance, with a strong focus on drywall repair, painting, basic plumbing, and electrical work. The ideal candidate

will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of performing a wide range of facility upkeep tasks to maintain a

clean, safe, and functional environment.

KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patch, repair, and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or refinishing.
  • Paint interior and exterior walls, doors, and trim, ensuring clean lines and proper surface prep.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and clearing clogs.
  • Handle basic electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and ballasts.
  • Perform general handyman tasks including door hardware adjustments, minor carpentry, and tile or flooring touch-ups.
  • Respond to daily facility maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
  • Assist with minor remodeling, renovations, or space reconfigurations as needed.
  • Assist with installation and relocation of production equipment and facility assets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and supplies.
  • Document work performed and materials used in maintenance logs or tracking systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure work is completed in compliance with local building codes and company standards.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a skilled trade (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical).
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of SDS, HACCP and cGMP
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, AIB, FDA, EPA)
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot a variety of building maintenance issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with staff and tenants.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
  • Ability to work in hot climates when needed.
  • Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • Experience with interior remodeling or facilities upkeep in commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems is a plus.
  • OSHA 10/30 Certification or similar safety training (preferred, not required).
Salary Description $20 - $25/hr
