About This Role:
The Office Associate & Meal Server plays a vital role in daily campus operations by ensuring smooth front office procedures and a welcoming, efficient meal service for students. This highly collaborative, part-time position supports both our nutrition program and administrative team to create a clean, organized, and student-centered environment.
This is an ideal role for someone who is service-oriented, dependable, and enjoys engaging with students, families, and staff throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Office & Administrative Support:
Greet and assist students, families, and visitors; ensure adherence to school entry protocols
Answer phone calls and manage general inquiries with warmth and professionalism
Support student health needs (e.g., minor injuries, medication, documentation)
Maintain and update student records, including attendance, immunizations, and early dismissals
Process mail, deliveries, and school documentation
Meal Service:
Set up, serve, and clean up meals in accordance with safety and compliance guidelines
Track and report daily meal counts and support Point of Sale (POS) operation
Monitor food safety practices including allergy protocols and portion control
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food service areas
Receive and organize meal deliveries and manage inventory
Encourage student participation in meal programs and gather feedback
Provide support for school-wide events, audits, or site visits
Assist with drop-off/pick-up supervision and general school operations
Maintain tidy, functional front office and copier areas

Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
Preferred:
Experience in school, food service, or customer-facing settings
Bilingual in Spanish, Korean, or another language
Valid Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire
