About the location:

Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lanai, lies the secluded retreat of Four Seasons Resort Lanai, an oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five-star, five-diamond Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lanai, a kids club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques. Built on lava outcroppings, the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-signature golf course features ocean views on every hole. Island activities, many managed by Four Seasons include sunset sails and whale watch tours, horseback riding, sporting clays and archery, biking, hiking, and aerial adventures at Lanai Adventure Park or learn about Hawaiian wayfinding at the on-site observatory.

The Four Seasons Resort Lanai is looking for a Host / ess w ho share s a passion for excellence and who infuse s enthusiasm into everything they do. Ou r teams h ave the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge o f the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization is required .

WHAT YOULL DO

• Greet all guests warmly and promptly upon arrival with a professional , friendly demeanor and aloha spirit.

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating assignments using our reservation system OpenTable .

• Recognize frequent guests and personalize service based on their preferences

• Disperse the table lights and clear them at the end of service.

• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area.

• Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding the guest flow and seating capacity.

• Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed throughout their wait.

• Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus , taking water preference and introducing the server when appropriate .

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to table requests or dinner concerns.

• Uphold the appearance and ambiance of the front-of-house area, including lighting, music, and cleanliness.

• Assist in answering phone calls, taking to-go orders, and providing basic information about the restaurant to our guests .

• Support team members during peak service periods as needed .

WHAT TO BRING

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs , and push/pull as needed during shifts

• Weekend and Holiday availability required .

• Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.

• Strong Customer Service skills
