Receptionist

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year experience with the use of a multi-line phone system preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to keep information in confidence.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Previous experience operating various office equipment.
• Be punctual, have a good work attitude, and work cooperatively with others in the department and company.
• Accept and benefit from constructive criticism.
• Any other relevant, equivalent combination of training and experience.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manages a multi-line telephone system. Makes every effort to answer before the third ring. Directs calls to proper personnel or takes messages in their absence. Locates employees through use of paging system or cellphone as needed.

2. Greets and directs visitors. Goes above and beyond what is normally expected by customers and visitors by seeing to their comfort and needs while in the reception area.

3. Provides excellent customer service to DMP's customers and visitors either by telephone or while on site.

4. Delivers interoffice mail and processes outgoing mail. Controls postage distribution by department.

5. Prepares weekly mailings to Regional Sales Managers.

6. Maintain and file customer records as needed.

7. Observes company policies. Continuously strives to find processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.

8. Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.

9. May perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when directed by supervisor. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding own duties.
