BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Responsible for keeping the entire dining room in Warehouse 101 clean and orderly.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Clear and clean tables, chairs and booths.
- Sweep the floor.
- Assist servers in service functions such as pre-bussing.
- Maintain dish table organization.
- Ensures garbage bins are emptied and available.
- Help the servers with special requests.
- Maintain basic knowledge of all menu items.
- Maintain buckets filled with sanitizing solution following safety practices.
- Deliver food when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- Entry level position.
- Some food service or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Food handler's card required at or upon employment.
- OLCC card required at or upon employment.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Must be 21 or over.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands; schedule may demand work hours in excess of a standard workweek. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to lift and carry large and cumbersome objects frequently and occasionally lift a minimum of 25lbs. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
