Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking a professional, organized, and personable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at the project's field office. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone calls, handling deliveries, and providing general administrative support to the project team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for staff, contractors, and guests.
You will work with a diverse team on he East San Fernando Valley Road Widening Project which is a collaborative joint venture under LA Metro, aimed at improving transit infrastructure and traffic flow in one of Los Angeles' busiest corridors. The project is a key part of Metro's long-term transportation improvement strategy and will span several years.
Role Accountabilities:
- Greet and sign in all visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with JV and LA Metro site protocols.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain the front desk and reception area to ensure a clean, organized, and professional appearance.
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, photocopying, and document handling.
- Coordinate with security and safety personnel to manage access to the project site or office.
- Assist with scheduling conference rooms and preparing materials for meetings.
- Support staff with general office tasks and requests as needed.
- Monitor office supply levels and coordinate with the Office Manager for restocking.
- Help enforce safety protocols for visitors and employees.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience as a receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
- associate degree or administrative training a plus.
- Prior experience on construction or infrastructure projects a plus.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $73,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
