Job DetailsSanto Taco is a new taqueria in SoHo, which serves a simple but delicious menu of tacos that has been featured in Eater, Infatuation, New York Times, Time Out, and more. We're looking for someone to join our Front of House team who will add to the energy and warmth of the Santo Taco guest experience.
DUTIES:
- Offer every guest a friendly and sincere welcome; anticipate and be responsive to guests needs.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality when taking guest orders
- Ensure stations are prep, stocked and set up for all services.
- Prepare dining room by setting tables, prepping stations and ensuring overall readiness before service
- Guide guests through food and beverage selection; Suggesting your and Santos favorites; be knowledgeable of our offerings and answer all food preparation questions
- Basic knowledge of Mexican flavors and ingredients
- Proactively bus by constantly clearing, cleaning and resetting your work area, refilling waters, removing visible debris and ensuring overall cleanliness.
- Guide guests through our menu, offering drinks and Santos favorites.
- Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each guest.
- Reconcile cash drawer and credit card transactions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Flexible schedule and ability to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Have a positive attitude and be passionate about guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
- Assertive self-starter - takes initiative and can work well independently.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to handle and move objects of up to 50lbs.
- 2 years experience in high volume, preferably fast-casual kitchens
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $20.00) plus tips
