Average Starting Hourly Pay Range $18.00 - 30.00+, those with more experience may earn higher rates.
Day shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment, 401K after 6 months
Overview: As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic III at Merrill: A Keel Company, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC machines, tools, and accompanying equipment with a sense of urgency and accuracy with respect to customer needs.
Job Functions:
- Troubleshooting vertical and horizontal turning centers and 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills utilizing controls
- Installation, maintenance, and mechanical and electrical repair of production equipment and production facility.
- May delegate workload of the facilities maintenance department within their respective division/department
- Facilitates an installed Preventative Maintenance Schedule within their division
- Performs advanced troubleshooting on equipment/facility and helps schedule any outside support that may be needed
- Communicates directly with all stakeholders, including manufacturing manager and director of manufacturing, to ensure facilities and equipment can be relied upon to meet production goals
- Must be able to work with a diverse workforce and train less experienced team members
- Will need to work urgently and understand that production is dependent upon facilities as a customer would depend on production
Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting, no more than 50 lbs without mechanical assistance. Bending, stooping, and twisting are normal motions during operation.
Work Environment: Job shop manufacturing floor environment. As such, exposure to oil, dirt, debris, fumes moving machinery and equipment, and occasional high decibels are typical. Shop floor is climate controlled. PPE is required at all times.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years of technical training and five (5) years related work experience
- Project management experience on rebuilds and retrofits of machine tools and leadership ability preferred
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing equipment which includes mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, welding, and electrical maintenance
- Excellent communication skills, must be organized, self-motivated, and a team player.
