Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs work involving the maintenance and repair of the building structure for general up-keep. Duties may involve installation, carpentry, mechanical, repair of buildings, installing, aligning, and balancing equipment and/or office furniture. Other duties may also include repair and maintenance of manufacturing, building, and machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support company goals and objectives.
  • Operate various operations machinery, equipment and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on operations machinery and equipment, according to specifications.
  • Perform troubleshooting on operations machinery and equipment to determine cause of failure and fixes problem.
  • Fabricate and repairs simple production tooling, equipment and various projects.
  • Maintain overall site facilities.
  • Perform special assignments assigned by supervisors. Lead role may supervise lower level non-exempt or temporary workers.
  • As a Lead, acts as an extension of the Supervisor and carries out duties and responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Understand Mizuho OSIs business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels set by Mizuho OSI, and to continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
  • Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSIs internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

The duties of this job require the employee to stand and to use hands to manipulate very small objects and hand tools for long periods of time. The employee is required to walk and occasionally lift up to 45 pounds during the normal course of work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Within the Production Floor, the employee may be exposed to sharp objects, small tools, hot objects, adhesives, UV light, various testing equipment, isopropyl alcohol, soldering equipment, hi-pot testers and other electrical test equipment, hazardous waste, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience and education as outlined below, per job level.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprints and mathematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Basic working knowledge of machine tools, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, hand tools, troubleshooting.
  • Flexibility to be on call 24/7 for emergency situations is required.
  • Ability to work safely and according to OSHA safety regulations.

Salary: $62,400 or 72,800 plus mbo bonus
