Catholic Charities Maine's St. Louis Child Development Center is currently seeking a Custodian to support the cleanliness and upkeep of our childcare facility.
Position Details
Schedule: 15 hours per week
Hours: After childcare program hours
Location: Biddeford, ME
Responsibilities Include
Performing general maintenance of the facility
Reporting or completing minor repairs as needed
Keeping cleaning equipment in good working order
Removing snow from classroom doorways when necessary
Sweeping and washing all floors
Taking out trash and replacing liners
Washing windows
Vacuuming carpets and rugs
Qualifications
Ability to read and write
Previous work experience demonstrating ability to perform custodial duties
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Maturity, initiative, sound judgment, and dependability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated skills in housekeeping and light maintenance
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
