Custodian

JOB REQUIREMENTS: PS Companies is working with a local government

department to find a temporary Custodian. They will have a

responsibility to make sure that the area they work in is kept clean and

safe. The duties and responsibilities of custodians may vary according

to the size and nature of the floor. Pay rate: \$16.00 per hour.

Essential Responsibilities Include: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors

in assigned areas. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets,

sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Empty trash cans and recycling bins;

replace liners. Dust furniture, windowsills, and other surfaces. Clean

glass and windows. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels,

and soap. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report shortages. Follow

health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective

equipment (PPE). Report any unsafe conditions or needed repairs to the

supervisor. Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed. Minimum

Qualifications: Education: High school graduate or GED Two years of

related job experience and or training Previous custodial or janitorial

experience is a plus. Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor

buffers, vacuums). Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Strong

attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical ability

to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive

tasks. Work Schedule: 40 hr/wk @ 8 hr Monday Friday #gov2025 EQUAL
