The Sonnenalp is looking for a Full time Room Attendant with the desired start date of June 30th 2025 Wage 2000 2200 hour Typical Schedule 8am 430pm Primary Purpose of Position The Room Attendant is a position in the Housekeeping Department that reports to a Housekeeping Supervisor The primary role of the Room Attendant is to learn the procedures policies and standards required for this role at the Sonnenalp Hotel in order to develop proficiency Primary Purpose of Position Ensure personal appearance is professional and uniform is clean and pressed at all timesRespond promptly to requests from guests supervisors and other departmentsOrganize and restock cart at the beginning and end of the shiftDeliver any requested housekeeping items to guest roomsOrganize work schedule to complete daily assignment of a minimum of 8 Guest rooms ensuring adherence to high quality inspection standards of at least 85Remove trash dirty linen and room service itemsMake beds clean bathrooms replace dirty linens with clean onesDust polish and remove marks from walls and furnishingsCheck that all appliances are present in the room and in working orderStraighten desk items furniture and appliances according to prescribed layoutVacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms as well as corridorsClean corridors lobbies stairways elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms when askedFollow all company safety and security policies and procedures; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materialsReport any damage of hotel property maintenance issues or safety hazardsMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information and security of guest roomsSupport team members to reach shared goalsSpeak with others using clear respectful and professional languagePerform other reasonable job duties as requested by SupervisorsEducationExperience High school diploma preferredBasic English language skills preferred ie ability to understand and respond to Guest needs and follow directionsExperience operating cleaning equipment preferredA passion for providing customer serviceSpecial SkillsEquipment Ability to follow hotel policies and proceduresAttention to detail and thoroughnessCommunication Skills ie listen & respond clearlyReliability DependabilityTeam CooperationIntegrity HonestyAbility to complete assigned work under supervisionEssential Physical Requirements This role involves demanding physical abilities including but not limited to Must be able to stand for duration of shiftAbility to lift push pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25 lbs and have the ability to carry up to 50 lbsAbility to kneel bend crawlAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicalsBenefits Medical Dental Vision InsuranceResort DiscountsHoliday Pay Paid Time Off and Sick Pay401k Retirement Plan & Roth 401kVoluntary Life InsuranceShort Term & Long Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramParking Credit or Discounted Bus PassesThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills efforts duties responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time
