Job Details

Ithaki Estiatorio is a new upscale Hellenic restaurant opening in Chicagos Greektown in Summer 2025. The restaurant will feature a modern main floor space with a full bar and a downstairs cocktail lounge.

We are seeking warm, attentive, and polished Hosts to join our opening team. One to two years of experience in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant and a genuine passion for hospitality are required. Our standards are high, and taking pride in your work will be essential to your success here.

This is an exciting opportunity to help position Ithaki as a premier destination for modern Hellenic cuisine, paired with a vibrant wine list and a creative cocktail program. We offer a supportive work environment focused on continuous professional growth and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:

Exceptional verbal and written communications skills

Punctuality and reliability

Participating in all FOH training programs and meeting training expectations

Greeting guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere at the entrance to the venue

Providing a thoughtful approach to seating based on guest preferences and server section workload

Maintaining expert-level knowledge of reservations, dietary restrictions, and guest notes

Anticipating guest needs and ensuring a seamless experience

Execution of all opening, closing, and running checklists

Maintaining proficiency in OpenTable system

Maintaining proficiency in knowledge of food and beverage items

Team mentality with an ability to complete tasks independently

Communicating special requests and key guest information to staff and management

Compensation Details
