Custodian - Full Time

The Southeast ESC is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full Time Custodian. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our education service facility. The position is an hourly position that ranges from $12.00-$15.00/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows (inside/out) appliances (inside/out/under), and entrances, etc.
• Empty and clean waste receptacles on a regular basis.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Assist in setting up and arranging facilities for events and meetings including setting up and cleaning up after catered lunches.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel; address issues before they escalate.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Successful applicants must pass local, state and federal criminal background check as well as a child maltreatment registry check.
• Job history indicating excellent attendance, punctuality and proven work ethic.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while following a schedule but also clean areas as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and equipment.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require some lifting and physical exertion including moving chairs and tables.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Contract 240-250 days; 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; with 2 15-minute paid breaks and an hour unpaid lunch break.
